Blurppy.com recently hosted their 7th Poster Posse project for the upcoming reboot of ‘Godzilla’. This was a cool project to do but like the previous project ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’, I was stumped after a while. I knew right from the offset that I did NOT want to show Godzilla primarily, rather play on the terror and scale of the King of Monsters. I think the thing that audiences have responded to in the Godzilla trailers is the fact the Zilla himself is rarely and scarcely shown, and thats how I have approached it. I chose an angled composition as I believe it creates more energy and forward momentum in the piece, helping establish Godzilla’s direction in where he is going. I had a lot of fun and struggle with this poster but I managed to get it in on time! More news to come soon! Tom
